The first day of the "Screen-Free Reset" project, in which we participated as the Kicsi Szívek Gyermekoktatási Központ Egyesület, took place with young people from different countries coming together and reflecting on their technology usage habits. The Erasmus+ project with reference number 2024-1-IT03-KA152-YOU-000207445 was held in Mirandola, Italy, bringing together youth from Türkiye, Italy, Hungary, and Ukraine.

At the start of the first day, comprehensive information about the project was provided to the participants through the "Wh-Inquiry Session." The key features of the Erasmus+ program, the inner workings of youth mobility projects, the project's objectives, and the methodologies to be applied were shared with the participants. Thanks to this session, the youth had the opportunity to clarify their expectations regarding the project process and learn how an international learning experience is conducted within the scope of Erasmus+

One of the key activities of the first day was an icebreaker exercise called the "Name Association Game." Designed to help participants from different countries get to know one another more easily, this fun activity helped strengthen communication within the group. As the young participants took their first step together toward creating a shared learning environment, they had the chance to communicate with individuals from diverse cultures.

During the remainder of the day, participants were informed about the Youthpass certificate during the "Youthpass Session." The session explained how the knowledge, skills, and competencies gained throughout the project could be evaluated, as well as how to complete the Youthpass process. This aimed to ensure that participants not only take part in the activities but also become aware of their own learning process.

One of the standout activities of the first day was "Brain Games." Designed to support the participants' cognitive skills by taking a short break from technology, this activity allowed the youth to use their decision-making, problem-solving, focus, and creativity skills through various mind games. The activity enabled them to experience that it is possible to have fun, think critically, and engage in social interaction without technological devices.

In the evaluation session held at the end of the day, participants shared their experiences and key takeaways from the day. Conducting the evaluation using an origami method allowed the youth to reflect on the day through a distinct and creative approach.

One of the final activities of the first day was a dissemination workshop themed "Customized T-shirts." Through the t-shirts they created, participants contributed to the visibility of the project while conveying its core message regarding technology addiction and conscious technology use to their surroundings.

The first day of the "Screen-Free Reset" project concluded as an intensive learning experience where young people got to know each other, learned about the Erasmus+ program, and began evaluating their technology usage habits from a fresh perspective.
