ABOUT US
As a platform, we have made it our mission to increase the visibility of children's rights and education to ensure that children reach basic rights such as the right to education, housing and the right to be healthy, to organize pedagogical seminars and training courses, and to be the voice of children who have remained silent.
Our Vision
Our most important goal is to ensure that children's rights are recognized by all segments through our projects, workshops and works. Also, we care about the education systems around the world. In this context, we specially come together with young people who are the parents of the future and aim to include young people in our work, especially within the scope of Erasmus+.
Target Groups
As a platform, we have a target audience that we want to reach while carrying out our work. This target audience is mostly children, young people, parents and educators. We attach importance to reaching our target audience and raising their awareness in the events that we hold and participate in open to everyone.
Activities We Carried Out to Achieve Our Goals
With the activity plan specially prepared by our members who have received pedagogical training within the platform, we come together with children in kindergartens and pre-school education institutions and play games that inform them about children's rights. Our platform, which attaches great importance to the fact that children learn about their rights and be aware of this issue, continues to prepare workshops in this context.
As a platform, it is one of our most important future goals to make our voice heard to a wide audience and to express the importance of children's rights on an international platform thanks to the Erasmus+ program.
Also, we have been participating in and leading various activities within the scope of children's rights for years. These activities are as follows:
Child Rights Workshop
Our platform participated in the Child Rights Workshop event held in a Primary School in 2020. In the event held on November 20, 2020, to celebrate World Children's Rights Day, children were informed about their rights in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and had the opportunity to reflect on it through group work and interactive activities. In the workshop, a collective learning environment was provided to the children and at the same time, attention was paid to the active participation of the children. Our pedagogues took an active role in this event.
Disabled Child Rights Network
The Disabled Children's Rights Network is a network created by many non-governmental organizations and volunteers to draw attention to the rights of children with disabilities such as education and special attention needs and to work on improving these rights. Members of this network have participated in a number of activities on the Rights of Children with Disabilities organized with the support of the European Union.
World Children's Day
Our members participated in the Illustration event held on 20 November 2020, World Children's Day in Budapest. In this event, children and youth between the ages of 13-24 from different countries of the world transformed their dreams of a world that is greener/sustainable, with better education conditions for all, where they feel physically and mentally healthier and better, and where there is no discrimination, by using the materials they want, into art and shared them on social media platforms.
Panel Study
Our members participated in the panel titled “The Effect of Games on Child Development” held at Andrássy University Budapest Faculty of Education in 2018. In this panel, it was emphasized that the most important factor affecting the development of children from the moment they meet life is games and toys. In the continuation, it was stated that playing games is of great importance in terms of learning the subjects that the child cannot learn from anyone in the way of getting to know life, by creating their own experiences. Thanks to this panel, our young members, who received training in the field of Child Development, started their studies in this field and prepared projects emphasizing the growth of children through games.
Again, within the scope of the same panel studies, another panel on "Nutrition Behaviors in Kindergarten Children" was held. In this panel, our members, who are studying in Andrássy University Budapest Preschool Education Department, played a major role in this panel by sharing their work. Thanks to these panel studies carried out in 2018, our platform continued to support children in every field and in every situation, by improving its working area.
At the same time, the founding members of our platform participated in an Erasmus+ project carried out in 2014. After this project, they got the idea of disseminating children's rights in international platforms by considering them in different dimensions. Later, our platform started to do project research. We came together with our members who had participated in Erasmus+ projects before and got ideas about writing a project.
